Variants
Variant – City Quests
This variant allows equal distribution of city encounters and is more thematic.
Separate the city encounter cards from the rest of the cards. Deal 2-3 city encounter cards to each player.
Once a player enters a space where he has a city encounter card, that encounter is triggered and afterwards the city encounter card dice roll is made.
Once a player completes city encounter card, he discards that city card and draws a new city encounter card.
Variant – Morning/Day/Night-Cycle
This variant enables more variation due to shifting day-time, especially useful in 2-player games.
After each full round (each player having one turn) cycle from morning to day or day to night or night to morning for the next round.
Variant – Quests and Treasures
This variant reduces bad luck on quest and treasure draws.
Each time you draw Quest- or Treasure-cards, even during setup, draw two, select one and discard the other one. If the quest or treasure pile gets empty, reshuffle the discard piles.
